The beautiful port of Viareggio is situated on the Ligurian Sea at the mouth of the Burlamacca Channel.

It is famous throughout the world because here many jewels are made by the Viareggio’s shipyards which the masterpieces of Azimut-Benetti, Codecasa, Fipa, Overmarine, Perini, San Lorenzo and many others.

The event is organized in the heart of the Viareggio port in the “Darsena Europa” where it will set up for 10 days the village "SAIL STAR": stands, entertainment, information and culture.

Viareggio became the sailing capital of the world for 10 days and all the media attention daily given at the Americans' Cup moves to follow the greatest champions in the waters of Viareggio.

An important press office, a great communication plan and the regattas in the sea will be the ingredients of success of the Star Class European Championship.
